2016 Shield of the Royal Coat of Arms
The portrait of the Queen by Mr Jody Clark was introduced in March 2015 and will now be used on all circulating coinage. It is the fifth portrait of the Queen used on coinage.
The design, by Matthew Dent shows the bottom part of the shield of the Royal Coat of Arms.
