In honour of the 200th anniversary of the RNLI and the institution’s exceptional work, the charity is being celebrated on a new UK 50p coin.
Thanks to its courage, ingenuity and donors, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) has continued to grow over the last two centuries, saving more than 144,000 lives.
Featuring a brand-new design by experienced coinage artist John Bergdahl, the reverse displays the RNLI flag surrounded by a life ring bearing the exceptional 200-year anniversary the charity has reached.
This coin is new and in Superior Brilliant Uncirculated condition (BUNC). BUNC coins are minted to a higher standard than coins made for circulation.
